One very common question we get from job seekers: Can I bring my pet?
Many of the employers who post on our site will indicate in their job listings or profiles what their pet policy is. You can do a quick search in your browser for the word "pets" on any post by using Ctrl+F (Command+F on Macs) and typing "pets" in the search bar to find any place where their policy may be listed. If it's not indicated in the listing anywhere, you can always drop a line to the employer directly via contact e-mail or call the number provided to get a quick answer regarding their pet policy.
Some employers allow for people who bring their own housing (in the form an an RV or camper) to bring along a small pet. Again, you'll just need to check with each individual employer.
Typical accommodations provided by seasonal employers are dorm style with shared rooms. In our experience, the employers who might consider pets have private housing that may not be right on the resort/lodge/ranch property.
Something to consider - a season is not a very long time. If there's a friend or family member that could provide a safe and loving environment for your fuzzy friend while you go have the experience of a lifetime, it will allow you much more freedom to fully embrace the adventure and everything that comes along with it. If this is at all a possibility that you can consider, we strongly recommend it. If there's no way you can leave your pet in the loving care of a friend or family, then just keep an eye out for those employers who indicate that pets are permitted or possible, openly communicate your need to bring a pet and confirm that it's allowed, and then you both can experience the adventure together!
